Bright Source is a team of professionals led by Tom Goldblatt.  Tom brings seventeen years of experience in importing from Asia to Bright Source and its customers.  In 1989, Tom began his career working for Strombecker Corporation, a toy manufacturer. At Strombecker, Tom worked with Chinese factories making plastic, metal, wood and electronic toys.  He was responsible for making certain the factories complied with the company’s quality control standards, licensee requirements (like Disney) and the product standards of its retailer customers like Wal-Mart and Target.    In 1995, Tom became president of the gift box division of Field Container Corporation, a company that supplied decorative boxes to large retailers.  Tom substantially increased the client base of Field Container by working with many Chinese sources to reduce its clients' cost of products by up to 50%.  In this capacity, Tom interviewed and reviewed hundreds of Chinese vendors and factories to find the correct partners to make his company successful with its clients.

Tom subsequently became CEO of Global Innovations, a company which produced gift and novelty items for fundraisers. At Global, Tom imported over 120 million dollars worth of goods and worked with hundreds of factories in China and Taiwan to produce a line of inexpensive consumer gift items with a high perceived value to be used in fundraisers. These items included stationery, wood frames, candles, decorative tins, hand painted ceramics, novelty resins and plastics as well as candles and cloth items.  Because the mission of Global was to provide high quality, low cost items for fundraisers on a tight timeline, Tom reviewed hundreds of factories in China and Taiwan for price, quality and responsiveness to find the right partners for Global’s product line.

In 2006, Tom established Bright Source to bring his years of work finding the very best sources in Asia to American companies who are looking to produce products in large quantities in Asia.  Tom and his associate Gayle Arlen have established relationships with sources in China and Taiwan  that Tom has determined from all his years of experience to be the finest sources in Asia.  Recently, Tom & Gayle  also qualified and established relationships with 3 excellent vendors in Vietnam that can serve its customers’ import needs as well.  All of our sources in Asia are professional, responsive, and conscientious.  They communicate well in English and have extremely competitive pricing for items purchased in large quantities.  We are proud to be associated with our vendors.  We would like to be your import consultant and share these sources with you, so that you and your business can succeed in your Asian import endeavors.
